WNED vs PBS

My parents who have Rogers cable now is getting a good offer from Bell and is considering switching. But Bell doesn't have WNED, their PBS feed has different programming. My mom is wondering if they will have the same shows like Operas, Andre Rieu etc? thanks

p.s. asking them to "switch to OTA for WNED" would be very difficult :-)
 
Bell carries WGBH Boston (East) and KCTS Seattle (West). If they want to go with Bell and keep WNED, the best thing would be for them to get an HD receiver (even if they don't have an HDTV). It can integrate both the over-the-air and satellite channels in the same guide, so they don't have to switch to anything (although they won't get the program listings).
 
I switched my dad from rogers to star choice and never heard the end of "Why don't the use the same channel # "
