Jack Roush would say yes! They go in make sure they dominate and when they have made other manufactors leave they pull out!
They did it in the IRL
 
Why? It never ceases to amaze me how xenophobes conveniently forget that Toyota is a significant employer in America. It's a bad idea and it will enver happen.

Kick out another competitor that is keeping the sport alive?

Why not kick out Dodge, and bring in another Japanese manufactor like Nissan or Honda?

I know that the sport was made in America and naturally was raced in American cars, but if it lightens the load for a few years then I say go for it.

Why kick out a manufacturer that is putting millions into the sport.

That's like kicking rawlings out of baseball or football.
