Are Republicans aware of these figures and that Americans welcome this change. Will Republicans become more and more irrelevant if they do not recognize the will of the people?
Well 56% on that other poll is pretty darn good!
 
Washington Post poll, who did they ask? The people in Washington DC? Bush had a far higher rating in his first 3 months.
 
Unlike many people, I don't think it is wise to drive policy on the basis of opinion polls and popularity. I want my leaders to be genuine leaders. Frankly, if the numbers are accurate, those 66% must include some of those same people the many liberals would consider to be ignorant rednecks.
 
For idiotic liberals who chose not to do any research are you aware the George Bush's approval ratings were just as high this early in his administration?


Further..... in October of 2001 Mr Bush's approval rating topped 92%, the highest ever for any sitting president.

Thirty-six percent (36%) of voters now say the nation is heading in the right direction.

The number of Democrats in the nation declined two percentage points in March while the number of Republicans dropped half-a-point. While Democrats continue to enjoy a significant advantage over the GOP in terms of partisan identification, the gap is the smallest it’s been since December 2007.
