for their patients families? our main aide goes above and beyond what shes supposed to do,she comes in at 7am and leaves at 7pm,,she shops, cooks and cares for my bedridden mother, she also makeds drs appointments and calls the ambulette for my moms transportation, and goes with her and takes care of my alheimered father as well.what i dont understand is why the weekend aides so slipshod? they dont know how to cook or care for my parents properly, they manhandle my mom and in general are like modified babysitters.one in particular even shouted at me,i was told by our head aide that i should report to her any aoide who dioesnt do as told, and i tell her and the agency these animals come from keep sending us the same idiots! im thinking of reporting any aide that doesnt do as shes told to the agency they came from but again the regular aide wouldnt like this, what should oi do? first im told to tell the head aide things, about the other women the agency sends, and then i get hell for complaining!
im sorry this is imn the wrong catigory,i checked it twice and wound up in the wrong catigory anyways, sorry for my ooops!

First of all , these are your parents, not the top aides. You have every right to complain to the AGENCY, not to the aide. It's the agencys responsibility to give you the care your parents need, weather it's being paid for by you, your parents, or the insurance companies. If the agency is yelling at you, find another agency. you have enough stress dealing with two ailing parents. If the aide is yelling at you, fire them, they have no right. Make sure that you were given aides, and not companions. A companion doesn't have to do the work of an aide, also if they are there to take care of your mom, and only your mom, they may not want to take care of your dad, as they are only getting the pay for one patient. Find out first, what the situation ids, but by all means, complain to the agency, after all you are your parents voice now. Check your parents bodies for bruising, as you say they are manhandling, if you see anything wrong, contact the agency for The Elderly and Abussed. Good luck.

it's all in the contract of the agency she works for. And some aides do go above and beyond because they care.So feel lucky. By all means report them to the agency and also let them know that the regular aide does a fantastic job! Don't complain too much or you will be known as"Difficult"
