i have one 15'' kicker comp and a Alphasonik pmz 1600da class d Amp. witch type of box would be best for this sub with this amp? and would Bandpass be worth the trouble and money? thanks for all answers

its also going in a small 1980 Ford Pinto Hatchback if that makes a differince
single 4 ohm
im looking for good deep car shacking bass......

First is it a duel 4ohm or duel 8 ohm coil? Next Cool car I love the pinto I had a 71 with the trunk with 6 12" pioneer impp's no back seat I built a wall. Busted my door window out several times. I've owned 6 Wished I still had them. Any way sealed will give deeper bass . Here are the specs for your sub .
Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 2.25cu.ft. or 63.7 Liters
Max Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 5.0 cu. ft or 141.6 Liters
Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters) 3.0 cu. ft.or 85 Liters
Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)4.0cu. ft or 113.3 Liters.
I hope this will help you.

What type of sound are you looking for? Are you looking for loudness, sound quality, deep bass, any mix of these? That will help to determine the best enclosure for you and your subs.

I don't typically like bandpass enclosures. They can be good for SPL or if you want a really loud system. The problem is that bandpass enclosures are only going to be good in a small range of frequencies. In this range you will have very good output from your subwoofer(s) but since you only have bass in a small frequency range your subs will only be good for certain types of music and certain songs. They can sometimes have very bad sound quality as well.

Bandpass enclosures can sound good if built properly and your subs work well in a bandpass enclosure. The enclosure will need to be built and designed correctly otherwise you can have bad sound.

I would read the manual for your subwoofer. It will explain the different enclosures and what each type will give you. It will give you an idea what is best for you.

Good Luck!!!
