As someone who has had 3 back surgeries and is now scheduled for an SI joint fusion on Jan. 4, I am wishing everyone here a pain-free and positive Christmas and New Years!

It's so easy to get down when facing the chronic pain we do, but I've decided to look beyond the pain this holiday season and be thankful for the wonderful life I've been given and my frienRAB and family. I'm going to enjoy spending time with them during the holidays this year despite the pain I'm in.

I have come to terms with the fact that I will never be pain-free again, and I'm learning how to be okay with that and still enjoy my life. Granted, I still long for the life I had before my spinal problems, but I've let go of the bitterness I once held.

You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers during the upcoming holidays, and I wish you and your families the best!

Brenda I want to wish everyone Happy Holidays this season too. Also, I want to wish you luck and a speedy recovery for your surgery on January 4th. I will also be having surgery but on my cervical spine for the third time on January 4th. I still do not have fusion in my lurabar spine from my surgery 2 years ago so I know how disappointing recoveries can be but like you said we also have many things to be thankful for also.

My prayers will be with you and please let us know how you are doing when you feel up to it.

Good wishes to you both....and a happy new year.... I can only pray that you both have successful surgeries in Jan.... In the meantime, rest...catch up on stuff and think positive thoughts!!
