As someone who has had 3 back surgeries and is now scheduled for an SI joint fusion on Jan. 4, I am wishing everyone here a pain-free and positive Christmas and New Years!
It's so easy to get down when facing the chronic pain we do, but I've decided to look beyond the pain this holiday season and be thankful for the wonderful life I've been given and my frienRAB and family. I'm going to enjoy spending time with them during the holidays this year despite the pain I'm in.
I have come to terms with the fact that I will never be pain-free again, and I'm learning how to be okay with that and still enjoy my life. Granted, I still long for the life I had before my spinal problems, but I've let go of the bitterness I once held.
You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers during the upcoming holidays, and I wish you and your families the best!
