I just dont want to pay an extra $1000 for freight and assembly. Ive always thought that was some BS charges.

If I can get a white one for around $14k, I wouldnt mind paying it at all. Im going to be making a lot of calls this weekend and hopefully be able to be riding a white 848 this weekend.

Dude, didn't you see my last post. This guy bought his for $12,999 OTD. That means, he paid $12,999 total, nothing more, nothing less.

Yup, I saw it, but it still probably depends on where you buy it from. I would love to get it for MSRP, but here in Cali where Im sure they sell a lot of bikes, they might not go for that. Ill let you guys know tomorrow.

I just noticed that the dealership I was planning on calling tomorrow is closed on mondays also. Whats with dealerships being closed on sundays AND mondays? Guess I have to wait till tuesday to even FIND an 848 let alone getting a good deal on one.

Don't let them lead you to believe that MSRP BS. It only works for the first few months. The prices have been reduced around the country. They should do the same for you. The market is slow and theyre deserate to sell any bikes. Especially, high end bikes such as Ducati. Don't let them BS you. Good luck

Good luck to you. I hope you find the one you want. I'm waiting for my 1098 to get here. Should be here in less than three weeks.

I just got off the phone with Spectrum and they said they are selling their white 848s for more than their reds because they are being limited the number of bikes they are receiving. They said they want $15k for the white.

Im going to go down tomorrow and make them an offer tomorrow, but its not going to be $15k.

Good luck. While the prices have gone up don't let them budge you from your price. You should consider used while you're at it. Let someone else take the depreciation/taxes hit for you and get your 848 for like $12K with mods!

This is what I would do, call them back and use another name. Tell them that you are desperate and have been looking for a new red 848. I'm certain that they would give you the same story. They always say it's the last one or they have to order it. It may takes a few weeks, because it's on high demand. They would ask you to come down to work out the price and place a deposit. Once you've made deposit, and signed the contract, they would called you back within a week, or less. They will tell you that you are so lucky, the bike came in early.

You see, you're like me and the rest of us. Nothing is going to stop us from getting what we want. These obstacles will only make use more determined and they know it. It's their jobs to know what we want.

Yeah, I know how it works but in this case, they are right. These bikes are in demand especially here in So Cal where its already perfect riding weather.

Im going to check with my bank on financing and call them back later. Ive been thinking about it a lot and I might even just wait a while to get one.
