wireless connection problems after using SMAC?

I used this program called SMAC to play with my MAC address and now my laptop has to be restarted, and not put into sleep mode or hibernation, before I can connect to the Internet again. So basically, if I want to let it rest for a while, I have to shut it down every time. If I choose "hibernate", it doesn't connect when I turn it back on unless I restart the computer. Please help, it's been soooo annoying!! =/
