My brother's PC has recently started acting up. He bought an Air Link wireless modem and it has been working fine for a couple of years. He has an older Dell and wanted to install a new webcam so he cleared some memory, installed it and used it online for one night. the next day the connection was fluctuating. It goes from connected to not connected and back again like it can't hold a signal.
I've tried the 11 different frequencies but none have worked.
He uninstalled the webcam and it did not work.
I tried a system restore but there was a problem and it did not work (I had to reinstall his hard drive once already.)
In case he deleted any necessary files I uninstalled and reinstalled the modem.
In addition, the place where the IP address is supposed to be shows only 0's. I have a laptop so the problem is not on the router side. At this point I don't know what else to do. Any help would be appreciated.
