I have a 2006 Chevy Silverado Ext. cab with Bose speakers and factory stereo. I am wanting to take out the factory stereo and put in a Panasonic cq-vx100u which plays cd's and dvd's. I also want to add 2 rockford fosgate p3 subs with an amp, but keep the bose speakers that came with my truck. What wire harness would I need in order to keep everything working the way it should? I was told it was a different wire harness that is more expensive, but I would like to know more information like model number or brand so I can look up prices online.
Thanks for the help.
The truck also has OnStar (which i do not use). I was told that because of the Bose speakers that are hooked up to an internal amp, and the OnStar are the reason for a different wire harness.
Thanks a lot for the help! I agree Crutchfield is a great site that I checked for the wire harness, unfortunately they do not have any wire harness that will fit my truck. I think the wire harness on the ebay link may be the correct one, but I can get it for the same price (if not a few dollars cheaper) locally. I would like to know a part or model number so that I can look at other websites.
