winter formal dance should i smile with braces?

hey im a guy and i am going with a date to winter formal. she has the prettiest smile ever but i have braces and i dont think my smile is that awesome either. should i be closed lips during my picture? i ve been seeing a lot of guys not smile in pictures and it looks more professional in a way but im not sure. should i smile or not cause i dont think braces will look very nice in our picture. also if i dont smile how should i look during the picture? ty
 
My brother had braces for his prom, did the closed lips smile... lol don't do the closed smile. I am 16 and will be getting braces in february, and i was planning on just sticking with my regular, teeth baring smile..haha
