Winter Clothing

I'm going to pennsylvania/new york next month and being that I have lived in florida my whole
life and never visited anywhere cold I need warm clothing.

So for you northern guys what are your clothing choices?
that goes for shoes/coats/socks—anything

I like fleeces and down jackets. Lightweight wool sweaters are also nice. For rain/snow I just layer underneath and throw on a packable rain shell. Jeans are usually fine but if it's really cold I wear silk long underwear underneath.

I almost always wear long underwear in the winter. PA doesnt get that cold compared to other places ive been but a hoodie and a jacket over that will suit you fine. oh and -13 tomorrow morning here in jackson wy.
