using winswup to flash my SX1.. using the serial wire.. would that remove the "phone lock" ? an expert was tellin me it would.. but personally i'm unsure..
 
You can use the updates for SX1 only the org. USB cable and it wouldn't remove your lock!
 
im talking about a full flash.. using the SX1 drivers and not updating.. but installing the whole firmwire again.. will this remove the lock?
 
No !

But if u can fullflash it ... you`ll be able to unlock it also (FREIA, SST )
 
what do you mean full flash? can u explain furthur? by unlock you do mean stop the "phone is blocked. please enter phone code" error? thanks
 
I have a Sx1 which is just giving a buzz sound with black lines when you try to On. The Phone had came for block, I used Martech2 with test point after which it read phone and displayed all supported. VER 7. I took a back up of full flash, but it has taken only 2.4 Mb. I unlocked the phone which is now dead with the above problem.I also tried to upload the taken backup also, but no use. I used friea and uploaded ver 7 full flash and unlocked, imei changed in Martech, still same problem. Martech support also gave only some silly ideas which never works.
Now my customer asks for a replacement.
After boasting to have a Martech(costliest s/w), couldn't solve.
Some people suggested to use winswup, I tried, but dosent boot in that s/w, with w/o test point also.

IF SOME BODY CAN HELP, IT WOULD BE OF A VERY GREAT HELP.
