Windshield

Of course mine was equipped with a windscreen...

It has saved my noggin from rocks twice so far.
I did take a hornet in the face @ 35 mph 2 weeks ago.
It came straight down on me from somewhere.

I would have added one no matter what.
The Suzu OEM sure looks nicest to me...

What would be your reason for adding one if I may ask?
Looks or protection?

If you take a look at the C50T or SE, you will see the OEM windshield.
At the time you buy your bike is the best time to negotiate a price.

I know Orca Bay Suzuki brings in most of there's with the SE package and if the purchaser does not want just puts them in inventory for resale.
Having said that you can talk to the dealer where you bought the bike and he may give you a deal.

The aftermarket has a good selection, but is expensive here in town, remember you must also buy the bracket.

I found Eric at Extreme Suzuki in the States to be good price wise and prompt to ship. I got my Mustang Seat from him, it was $700 plus taxes here and it cost me $450 landed.

If you want I will find his number for you.
Eric Wright 1-866-848-0355 if he is not in find out what day he is working and call him back, mention you are a member here and he will give you a better price.

Ohio.

Extreme Power Sports is a multi brand dealer, so Extreme Honda etc.

Eric is the only one allowed to give the internet prices so if you talk to one of the many other reps the price is higher.

How did you make out insurance wise?

The need for "BLING" is an addiction known as ZukeDudetist which every member here has. ZukeDude was an M50 member who had it bad.
I have it and all is not in sight.
Also have added OEM Bars and have OEM Lightbar on way.

Thanks again, Blackie.

I'm not much of an online or tele shopper. We plan to go down to Seattle in June so I thought I could look for bargains there.

As for the insurance, I just bought the basic coverage. I am currently riding in the neighbourhood and being lazy to phone CDI.:fight1:

Cheers

[BTW, Brilliant bike and a great shot. You have a good taste. I guess everyone will agree with this, since we're all Boulevard owners, 8-)]

Sure enough. I put a windshield on both the 06 C50 and now my 07 C90 and couldn't get them on quickly enough. I ride my bike every day and the shield makes highway riding much more enjoyable and is awesome in the rain.

I just got the OEM windshield with lowers and really like it. The BEST price is on e-bay but there is a local dealer just south of Seattle in Auburn (just minutes away from Seattle) that has allowed me to bargain with them and that is where I got my C50 windshield. I could check with them and see what the best deal they will give you would be if you like?

Thanks, :bluethum:

That'd be great. Could you please give me the dealers address also. We're traveling down to CA in late June.

Thanks a million

I would call Hinshaws Suzuki, in Auburn , WA tell them what you have seen the sheild for other places and chances are they will match it or beat it....
It's a breeze to install.... even a bit easier on the C90.....

Just click on the name above and it will take you to thier site...

I'll call them tomorrow and see what kind of deal they can do...

Thanks very much, PNW rider. I found this quite cheap or is it a typo?

We'll be traveling to WA towards the end of June and I'll check it out then. Also, it's not only windshield, I'd like to buy hard bags and leather jacket. I'll phone them for a quote before I get there.

Thanks again

Although I don't have a C50, The OEM that my S40 has is quite satisfactory and well designed. It has good mounting points and seems to be a solid design. I've found that a windshield certainly cuts down on wind fatigue on long rides!

Elvis,
If you want to order the OEM windshield online, I'd highly recommend
boulevardsuzuki.com.

or to be more specific...

Adjustable Height Windshield from Suzuki Genuine Accessories

Their website is a bit confusing to navigate. Go to their main page, then scroll down and click on the picture of a C50 if you want to look around at other stuff.

I just bought some accessories from them (luggage rack, swivel backrest, and light bar). Their prices were great, everything was in stock, it all shipped quickly and I am a happy camper. I got the prices from the web, then called them up and ordered over the phone.

Absolutely love the Switchblade by National Cycle!!! EZ on, EZ off. You can get it on eBay for under $300. I used the "Chopped" one. If you're taller than 5'7", get the "2-up"
