I'm looking for a new phone and or PDA and need some help. A symbian or windows based regular phone are options providing the following are met.

Main things I need are:

1) email client
2) business viewing apps (xls, pdf, word) editing not necc.
3) bluetooth
4) modest cost
5) GSM

Pluses
1) a keyboard my fat fingers can actually type on. qwerty or numeric
2) mp3 +fm

Let me know your opinions. thanks

Tmobile Dash/HTC S620. GSM, Wifi, WM6, QWERTY, slim/thin with decent battery life. Comes with Office Mobile (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Adobe Reader LE (read PDFs), email client, WMP (videos, mp3s), Bluetooth. Less expensive than full WM/PPCs (got mine for $220).

Nokia E61i - QWERTY, Symbian S60v3, WiFi, quad-band GSM, 3G (UMTS2100), good battery life, QuickOffice, email client, BB connect, bluetooth

E61 is big and expensive
S620 I can't type on, I've tried

I like the E65 but it's a $400 phone also. and I'd rather not spend that much

I'd rather be in the 0-300 range. Preferably around

It's go with the E61i...if you have trouble typing on the Dash, the E61i should be easier.

If your price range is around $250, and you're looking for something unlocked, your choices are SEVERELY limited. I'd look into the previous gen Treos (the 650). THey run PalmOS, which, while dated, is still nice. You might be able to squeeze a Treo 700 (Palm or WinMobile) if you keep at it on EBay.

That's probably the best you can do. If you're looking for a QWERTY, there's GOING to be size, that's life. If you have fat fingers, the E61i is the best bet, as you might have trouble with a Treo keyboard too, and the N75, while having nice big comfy keys (and also FM and MP3) uses a regular keypad, which just isn't great for e-mailing.
