Using the Windows Vista CD (if you plan on resetting to zero meaning no documents, music, videos, pictures, etc unless backed up), you would press your boot key or go into BIOS and have your boot command set to CD/HD instead of HD/CD.
With the CD in, a note will appear "Press any key to boot from cd drive...". Then you would follow the instructions on a reformat of your entire drive and reinstallation.
