Windows photo gallery keeps crashing.?

every time i open the windows live photo gallery in Windows 7 it crashes. it crashed wile trying to create thumbnails for the photos on My computer. it happened the very first time i opened the program and has happened ever time after. the app is up to date. the error log shows the following
