windows media player?

my sister somehow managed to delete some key running files from windows media player, now, no matter how many times i re-install, i it will not run (WMP11, by the way)

does anyone have a solution? or maybe a link to back ups of the system files?

thanks alot
really would like to keep WMP if possible, vlc is kind of suckish (until they worm out all the bugs)
