I haven't played a movie on WMP in a while now and now I put a DVD in and it reads the DVD because in the list frame on the right side it lists the scenes and stuff but this message comes up:

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

I don't know what the hell that even means....what video card. Does that mean I have to go to Best Buy and buy some $50+ computer piece

You need to find out what video card you have, go to the my computer icon on your desktop, right click, choose properties, and when the properties come up, click on device manager (unless you are running xp, then you click hardware, then device manager) find on the list where it says display adapters, then right down the name of your display adapter. Now go to google.com, search for "free driver update for (name of your display adapter)" then find the site that has the same name of the company that makes you video card/ display adapter, go there, they should have an updated driver for your video card, I have never seen this "not" work!!!!! Its free, and its the right driver, you just download, then install it.
