Windows Media Player won't play a movie on a disc?

I put the movie in (the movie is a number of episodes on the disc by files) and chose "Windows Media Player ver. 10" to play it. It plays, but only the sound. the pictures are just swirly decoration colors that come with the program. on my other computer, i have the same thing i use to play movies but it won't work on this computer! Help!

you need a video decoder ive had the same problem with my computer.
