Windows Media Player & Winamp?

What is the diferance? What is best? Does anyone know the diferance? Cos I am getting lost with it all. Trying to play music & media files but my pc is getting as confused as me, it don't know wether to play in Winamp or Windows Media Player, Does anyone know what I need to do? All files I download go to either of the two, but I don't know if I should just delete Winamp an just use Windows Media Player.

Please someone help me!!
 
i recommend windows media player but it don't play all types of files same with win-amp either way you will have to have another back up program to play files not able to play on the other one
 
I would suggest you use winamp but first download and install divx, quicktime and vlc. After this you should be able to play most file types on winamp (which is my default because of the sepperate playlist)

Winamp is clearly superior when you have 2 screens (one for the video the other for the playlist of videos)
 
Winamp is far better, so get rid Windows Media Player.

-Easier to manage files.
-Plays more files.
-Takes up less system resources.
-Looks better (opinion).
-Isn't dodgy beind the scenes.
-Isn't part of a shady monopoly.
-When left on random, doesn't just play the same songs a bajillionty times over.
