Alright, I have Windows Media Player, and I use Windows Vista, and every time I try to play a video that I downloaded with any download software, It comes up with this error "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

The file is a .flv, But this error comes up with .avi, .flv, .wmv, and more formats, I need some help here, What do I do?

When I try opening a downloaded video in Windows Movie Maker, It has an error too, It says "The file C:\Users\Jonouchi\dwhelper\Koozle 1.avi cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again."

Restarting does not work, and I downloaded some codec packs, But it doesn't tell me the fucking codec I need, Help plz? thnx.
