Since I got my legal copy of Windows 7 on my PC a few days ago, the issues with my Samsung HDD HX-DU015EB started popping up.

Here is the line of events that followed:
-Logged on to my fresh Windows 7
-Started installing anti-virus software (AVG, Avira, SUPERantispyware, CCleaner, Spybot S&D, Ad-Aware).
-Avira's Guard section started giving this message: Guard: Autorun blocked. Acces to the file 'F.\autorun.inf' was blocked for your security.
-I searched on some random forums who else had a thought about this message, eventually I ended up downloading & installing this file DISABLE-AUTORUN.reg to "prevent this issue from happening again". Not that the file helped (as I still get the autorn.inf block message with an other current working External HDD).
-I thought everything was fixed, so I logged off from my PC. Now today I log back on and my PC doesn't detect the Samsung External HDD at all.

Note that my other External HDD I use is one from Toshiba, which hasn't been giving any problems in terms of denying proper acces.

So could anyone tell, is this a pure hardware problem? Or a software problem? Did I cause it by the info of how I described the actions that I took? Is it perhaps something of Avira's side that "did" it? Or maby something that Windows 7 is causing? I hope I have said enough to get the info I require to fix this issue once and for all.
