Willy wonker is fit

I had the misfortune of seeing this film last night and enjoyed the first 20 or so Wonka-free minutes. From there it was downhill. Depp's ugliness and unappealing performance ruined what would otherwise have been a good film. Depp's stilted and lazy acting, coupled with his desperate failed attempt at looking "weird", by quirky eye movements and odd mannerisms did nothing to repair the damage already done.

A big thumbs-down to Willy Wonka. :mad:
 
Physcially he's got amazing eyes, cheekbones to die for, a beautiful pouty mouth and a nicely proportioned body (think I've just given myself a hot flush :o ). He also seems to be getting better looking the older he gets.

He also comes across as a genuinely nice bloke who's in possession of a brain as well as being extemely sweet and funny, he's extremely talented, and I also like the fact he seems to march to his own beat, he's never played the Hollywood game, his choice of roles since leaving 21 Jump Street are amazingly varied, and seems to be completely his own man.

I know Iwas exactly the same when I went to see it this weekend gone. But I have never found Johnny Depp appealing before but this character and his mannerisms got to me. Help I must be heading for a mid life crisis!!
 
Do you know I think it was last night! I've been looking forward to it ever since I saw the trailer for it when I went to see Charlie and the choccy factory way back in August! How time flies!
 
Well in the boook Dahl says the factory uses male, female and child Ooompa Loompas. Maybe they're all just very manly.

(and I got the impression that the 'female' typist was mean to be a male oompa loompa in receptionist clothes. slightly sexist, but there you go)
 
Oh yes, I'm ecstatic about the upcoming Corpse Bride! I haven't seen any aRAB on UK TV yet though. I think it's cool how they've made the puppets look like the actors-they've made the corpse bride look like Helenha Bonham Carter, they've made Victoria look like Emily Watson and they've made Victor look like Johnny Depp! And you're right, they have succeeded in making the Johnny puppet cute! I know, I've had Nightmare Before Christmas on video for years! "This is Halloween, this is Halloween, Halloween, Halloween!" Can't wait!!!!!!!!!

"Of course-how can you get whipped cream if you don't use whips!" Ooh whips, kinky! Okay, I'd better stop now, once again bordering the line between obsession and insanity! I need cheering up though as I collect my A level results tomorrow!
