Aww, glad to have you a part of the thread as well!

I liked Veruca too when I was a kid, I was the spoiled single child, brat like she was, so I could related, LOL.

I loved her song as well "I want today. I want tomorrow! I want wrap it all up in my pocket, give it to me NOW! I want the world..."

Well, you see, that's how I was too...but then I heard really good reviews about the new one, so I think I might see it--if only to see if it measures up to the original. ;)

For me it was when he yells at Charlie as a test and Charlie passes. I thought Gene did that amazingly.

Okay, that's cool - but that means we don't discuss Johnny Depp or the other version here, okay?

We want to celebrate Gene Wilder here - no harm done, though. :)

So, how much do I love this film? Words cannot say - I had the BIGGEST crush on the boy who played Charlie - I was at the perfect age (born in '65) to really, REALLY want a golden ticket!

I could not agree more, he IS totally Willy Wonka, Johnny Depp didn't even compare in my eyes, no offense to him.

He probably doesn't want the bad kids to come back anyway. This happened in both scenes with Violet and Mike, he was like..."Stop...don't...come back"

Maybe you're right but still!

i love most of johnny's movies! :D and I also hate some too! Strange ones!

That's cool :)

When the girl blows up :lmao: and seeing the chocolate place for the first time  makes me wanna eat chocolates too

I haven't seen the new one yet because it doesn't seem as good as the original.

Oh, no, I wasn't referring to you, sorry.

So, what was everyone's fav. part of this movie?
