Hello, Dear Visitors! My name is Ivan Ivanov. I was born in Moscow in 1954. I still live and work in Moscow. I am the author of the present teach-yourself textbook of spoken English (TITLE). As far back as 1981, I graduated from the State Moscow Teachers’ College named after V.I. Lenin. Alongside, I worked for the Soviet Peace Committee as a part-time interpreter. All my life since I was 20, I dreamed to create such a course that would help my country fellows learn to fluently speak English in only 2 years instead of 5, 10, 20 or even longer. The last impression dates back from the year 2000. As for the style, it is based on the London course by Professor Gimson. The course contains 12 Lessons by 20 pages each. The first 6 Lessons have a sound track on compact discs. My co-author (such and such) and I are currently underway recording the remaining Lessons. The course in question is designed for both full-time and correspondence students. In practice, the course proves to be an effective tool for learning all the basic styles of the English language such as formal, informal and common slang at the same time. It is useful to learn for children over 11 years old and all adults just as well. The teach-yourself course (TITLE) encourages and enables its students to practice speaking skills from the very first Lesson. It is speech practice that rides first and foremost in each Lesson. The course being offered is absolutely self-sufficient because it does not require any extra teaching materials. In principal, the present course teaches everything starting from the sounds, then come phonetics, the alphabet, Lexis exceeding over 30.000 words and expressions, some exercises to help the learner get command of those words, then grammar, speech practice, written and oral tasks followed by check-ups both in the textbooks and the discs. Also taught are the basic styles of the language. As for grammar, it covers all the aspects starting from the simple and up to the complicated details. The tenses in both voices are the main focus, but the most important issue and it is the author’s breakthrough are the FIVE CONFUSED TENSES. These 5 tenses have always been the tumbling stone for all those Russians learning English. The whole course was registered in the Russian Authors’ Society. Thank you very much for your time! Good-bye.

Instead of good bye try to think of something else. are they going to ask questions? but all in all its a good speech. good luck and God Bless

Good-bye.The only one I'm not sure of was the sentence that says: "The last impression dates back from the year 2000." I'm not sure what this means, so I can't help you with it. Hope this all helps!
