Will you pay big $$ for E90 with no 3g service?

If I had to choose between the 2 I would easily take 3G over wifi. With the processor being the main bottleneck I cant imagine wifi being that much faster than 3G in regards to web browsing. Streaming and downloading might be another story. Fortunately I dont think we'll see a non wifi version but we might see a 850/1900HSDPA version!..or UMTS. I would take 3g but 3.5 would be nice.
 
I think it depends on ease of use. I've had 4 Cingular 3G phones to date, and they're incredibly easy to stream media with. Not only Cingular Video (which is ridiculously easy to find the goodies) but also MobiTV is actually almost worth paying for. At $5/month, I'd probably do it. And MobiRadio is EASILY worth paying for, that's how easy it is.

With both MobiTV and MobiRadio, within 3 clicks you can have a live stream going. 2 if you've already said yes I know it goes through absurd amounts of data.
 
us 3g...dont need it!! i rather have euro 3g cuse i travel to japan alot and koria(sp). plus were i live theres wifi everywere and La is planning to do a city wifi thing too so 3g is pritty usless for me here!!

lets see back surgery(sp)(at school i bring my lappy every were and its heavy) or pay 1000 now and save my back!
 
So is the biggest advantage to 3g being able to watch tv and stream videos and stuff. I mean internet is extremely fast also then right? Surfing and downloading would be the biggest plus for me.
 
No, I would not purchase an E90 without US 3G, no question at all...at least not for $1k. I NEED simultaneous browsing and voice.... simple as that. With its FULL current feature set minus 3G, I would pay $600 or so. There WILL probably be some bugs right out the door. Fortunately, thats a non-issue since Nokia does online software updates. IFFFF it actually gets US 3G, I would consider giving my only home PC (my laptop) to my wife as I would really no longer need it, except to back up my contacts and for a few rare, random items like music storage.
 
To each their own. Could you explain why you couldn't care less for 3g. I'm trying to gather info to help make (I hope) an intelligent decision. thanks, and I really appreciate all input whether neg or pos.
 
You're going to need back surgery from just carrying around a laptop?

Do you also struggle picking up a gallon of milk?
 
Thanks for your input. I upgraded my e70 via nsu and had no issue at all. Heard so many bricking stories, sure would hate to trash a 1grand phone.
 
Yeah, N95 was suppose to be released Q1 and it ain't over yet, but I'm guessing it's not going to happen till Q2, but from Q2 to end of year is a long ways....
 
Well you won't have a chance today since your coming to New York, but maybe it will show up this morning before you leave

I'm torn between the two devices so I'm excited about seeing both in person tonight. I've already seen the N95 once and thought the screen was nice size, but felt the phone feels hollow. I really like the E90 for it's "all in one" device factor that I've been waiting for.....all in one except for the size that is.
 
I don't really care about 3G....

infact, I don't really care for EDGE too much either....

I'm not on the internet w/ my phone that much.....
