Will you pay big $$ for E90 with no 3g service?

At the same price, I'd pick the E90 any day. Why?

1. RAM - holy hell
2. Battery Life
3. Feature set - the speed of T9 plus the convenience of QWERTY all in one package?

I guess I could agree to that.....I'm just saying that most people in NA don't even have an idea what 3G is. They are just amazed right now that they have a camera in their phone

For me when T-MO roles out 3G, I will for sure jump just to have the latest technology, but do I think I need it............nahhh. I barely use wifi in a phone and I thought that was the coolest thing in the world when it first came out....

Since I wouldn't be buying either Cingular or T-Mobile version, I'm sure I won't have to worry about WiFi. 3G I wish it had, but I'd probably still plop up to $800 for it. Over $800 I'd have to think long and hard.

True, but having used 3G now on my N75, I can say that simple speeds aren't the *REAL* selling point of 3G. From comments from others and my own personal experience, the true selling points of 3G, and what's going to matter to regular joes is:

1. Simulatenous voice and data.
2. Streaming media (audio/video) - It's POSSIBLE on EDGE, but I've tried everything from Orb to MobiTV and NEVER have I been satisfied like I am with both on 3G.
3. ok speed.

3G isn't all that big of a deal to me, mostly because it's not even available in my area.

$1000 is just too much for me though. I would probably pick it up if it drops to $700 or so.

I don't know about that....."Regular Joes" wouldn't IMO use streaming media. The simultaneous voice and data is nice. I consider myself not a power user, but more power user than most people and I use my phone to play MP3, take pictures, read my emails, and of course making phone calls. I think most people out there only use very little of what their phone can do. There is one big negative side and that's battery consumption....

Just read an article in smartphone+pocket pc claiming t-mo 3g isn't scheduled to roll until 2008. Could be? Gives me another reason to get the E90. I mean if 3g is off the table for awhile. i'll be keeping my ears on.

O.K. so does 3g burn up battery power at an alarming rate or is it not that big a deal?. I appreciate all the great input here. Like someone said when 3g does roll on tmo it may be pretty spotty. My biggest reason for wanting 3g is the data speeds. I'm not a power user at all and I have no pc at home. I use my devices for web and email. I love having it when I travel. I enjoy my internet on the go and the faster the better. I will most likely get this device. Now, What are the chances it will be buggy right from the get go?.... 50/50????

is the 3G frequency compatible with ROGERS Canada..??
i think rogers is 2500 or something like that not sure.
can anyone please post if it will work 3g canada
