Will you pay big $$ for E90 with no 3g service?

A simple question: Would you pay big $ for the E90 if you could never utilize the 3g? If your service doesn't offer this device and it retails for $1000 usd, would you buy it anyway? I want this unit bad, but with no 1700 for t-mo 3g I have to convince myself to wait. Also what are the chances for having buggy software right out of the box? It's alot "o" dough man!!

I would pay big money if it didn't have wifi. Probably not a thousand but I would throw in 7 hundo for no wifi. The screen and ram with the camera puts it way ahead of any other smart phone out there. Obviously wifi will be nice but I still consider it a luxury.

.....and 3g at this point is even more of a luxury. I'm sure I would feel differently if I used a 3g phone as I'm sure I would become addicted to the speed much like I am with my Verizon Fios 30mb downloads.

Havent got it yet but it's better than anything else Cingular offers. I miss my E61 but didnt want to cut into the N95 funds!

Without 3G, it's a toss up. Personally I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a US version with T-mobile and Cingular 3G, though not for a while down the road. Without WiFi, not a chance in hell.

...the e62 is close in one regard....

It's browsing speed should be the same considering that they're both on EDGE. I get close to 30 kB/s (yes, Bytes) almost all the time when surfing. The Nokia browser is incredible. (I'm posting from my E61 right now. )

I had an E61 for a long time and got closer to 100kbs while surfing....I checked out a co=workers E62 today and noticed the browser crashed while BBC was running in the background. The menu speed was slllooooww as were opening certain applications. My E61 was snappy as can be and the browser never crashed. I'm really only concerned with stable web browsing and BBC so I'll see how it goes. If I cant stand it after the first night I may throw it up on Ebay as I got a good price on it and snatch yet another E61.

If Cingular picks this up I wouldn't be surprised if they ditched the wifi and have us 3g.

I got one used almost as an experiment and have ended up making it my only phone. I wanted to buy used since I really like the new E-Class D-Pads I figured I'd eventually get either an e61i (if I liked the E61) or an e65 (if I didn't like the E61)....or maybe a (gasp) E90 if they ever support US 3G, which they won't.

I think that the only phone I'd spend OVER $500 for would be a US 3G phone that lives up to my standards. The E90 does that, with the exception of US 3G. Dmn you nokia.

There hasn't been much talk about the E61i.....I was actually very interested in this phone......I loved the E61 but just hated not having a cam

Well I wouldn't pay $1000, but wait till the price drops. However, it is a phone that pretty much has everything and even if it did offer T-mobile or Cingular 3G, the coverage is still very small and wouldn't be useful most of the time. In my mind Edge is fast enough to download large files over internet and I don't use my phone to surf the web...so for me it's a YES.

Really, this phone has all features of the N95, except for the 5mpx camera and size....However it does have a keyboard....

its a 15 inch dell+all my books, and iam thinkin of the period of 6-7 years!

i wanna become a docter, and i need something with a keybored (or a bt one) cuse i cant read my handwriting very well...

It comes with wifi. T-mo probably won't be picking this thing up, unless cingular does and cripples the wifi it will hav it. I will get it unlocked from the factory via a retailer. Mine will havw wifi.
