so whats the deal on the emulation? will I have to buy sonic, or can I download it or what.

second question - the wii has wifi, but can I use a cord?
 
There are points cards that you can buy, I'm sure you create an account via WiiNet or whatever cheezy name they'll call it, and put the code from your points card in it, then you can buy legacy games with points. Cards are like $22 and from what I've read you can get 7? or so games out of it.

As for the cable...dunno. The DS supports wifi, but does not have a network adaptor, so I'm guessing there will be no ethernet jack.
 
yep I'm getting raymans raving rabbits so the gf will play video games with me...and I might get red steel but I think I'm gonna wait on that one. zelda should keep me buisy through christmass. any word on duck hunt and the gun attachment?

Might get that GT Pro Series game or Need for Speed: Carbon

Me and my friend are trading off games; he's getting Madden, and problably will get Red Steel.
