They refused the bailout money.

They cut costs.

They increased efficiency and focused on quality.

They restructured their debt, ON THEIR OWN.

And they showed a profit this quarter.

Kudos to Ford Motor Company, the only TRUE AMERICAN AUTO MANUFACTURER REMAINING, and the only one that matters anymore.

right on. I used to be a Chevy guy, no Ford. Now, I'd buy a Ford anyday before buying a GM car or truck. F GM, F any company run by obama....and F obama too.

FOMOCO is what capitalism is all about; remember something else:

They hold a lionshare of Mazda and a significant stake in Toyota as well; both of those companies have a soid manufacturing presence in the U.S.

Unlike Goldman Sachs' profit being used for bonuses after we bailed out AIG and AIG repaid bad debt to GS 100 cents on the dollar, as well as WHATEVER the Federal Reserve is doing with the 23 trillion it has issued/committed in guarantees.

-endeaver, GM WENT BANKRUPT!!! Of course it will 'come back', what we wanted was for that to happen BEFORE we spent billions on it in a failed attempt to stop the bankruptcy from occuring. Also, what about the pensions with their money in the bonds who were shafted for this? Ooops. Sorry old folks who lost your retirement, just the way it goes....
 
I love Fords(My dad was a G.M employee).I just wish their tranmissions wouldn't conk out as much as they do.Their easy to work on and repair.So my next car will be Ford as well.
