Will Walking at Work Help Me Lose Weight?

Alright, I exercise very little outside of the walking I do at work. I work at a JCPenneys as a Sale Support, which means I walk around and make sure everything looks nice and help out customers. I sit down not at all and am constantly on the move, except for my 15 minute break, and when I get enough hours, my 30 minute lunch. I weigh 230-250 lbs at 5'8" and have a very erratic diet. I have a lot of days when I only eat whatever small thing I get from the vending machine and a mountain dew. I do drink lots of soda, if it's around, when I get home. If not, then I only drink the mountain dew at work. I'm typically too tired to eat when I get home, so I usually skip dinner and almost always have no time for breakfast so I skip that too. I get that this is making my body convert that dew and moonpie/poptart/rice-krispie treat/whatever into fat, but I AM walking on average 4-6 hours at least 3 times a week. I don't eat much at home as well. In fact, the only reason I'm so heavy to start with is because I'm not active. At all.
Anyways, will I drop this fat at this rate anytime soon? I get that I'm being very unhealthy in my diet, but I can't afford too much else :P
