will verizon buy out another cell contract?

My boyfriend has Helio and we have had nothing but problems with the service and phone. I have verizon and want to add a line onto my plan but am wondering, will verizon wireless buy out the rest of his service contract so he doesn't have to pay the termination fee?
 
The only company I knew that did that was Helio, that was before the got bought out by Virgin Mobile USA, So, probably not, but you can always ask, just don't hope for a yes... :(
 
Verizon does not buy out contracts. They'll probably tell you that their better network is worth the ETF to get there.
