My dad recently bought me an intermediate tenor saxophone for me to practice for jazz/blues and church music along with jazz books

As of what i know, this company is from korea because the sax was shipped in from korea where we bought it in a korean music store, and because my dad knows the owner we got a fairly big discount.
Anyways my question is will buying a yamaha mouthpiece and replacing the current mouthpiece i have affect the way on how i play? Does the entire sax have to be yamaha too?
