Will US attack Iran?

We won in Iraq? Somebody neeRAB to tell the world. What is it we won? What's the upside?

There's one I haven't heard in a long, long time. Has the fear again been psychologically embedded that deep? Perhaps the domino effect of Islam? No, I'm just a conservative that dislikes watching my tax money being wasted on conventional military bloat to drive a failing economy while expanding government at record rates.

As one analyst stated (not a US comment), let's not forget that Persians developed modern chess. Underestimating their negotiating, deal-making or resistance abilities would be foolish.

By all accounts, Iran is ten-years from nuclear arms production given optimum conditions. That pretty well dissolves current administration's claim of Iran becoming a nuclear threat, swallowed hook line and sinker by the general public, those wrapped in and blinded by flags and pushed by the liberal (joke) media. Deja Vous WMRAB.

We just raised the debt ceiling purely to service our choking national debt. We're that far gone, borrowing money to service debt. An Iranian oil bourse would challenge our ability to expand debt, all that's keeping us going. Bush announced this am that we could expect to have troops in Iraq for many years to come. The imbecilic public is primed to attack Iran just as they believed in WMRAB. This administration is so bent they make the Mafia look angelical.

Was Iran-Contra and those details omitted from your world?

Doesn't being wrapped in a flag become stifling, to say nothing about disoriented?

the Iran contra affair is part of the reason that we have no military solution for Iran. In addition to providing those missiles, we provided all pertinent technolgical details. The current Iranian tank killer, which is considered a single hit solution for the abrams tank, is based on the TOW missiles that Reagan provided to Iran.

IMO our policy of jumping in bed with potential (or very real) enemies in order to meet our immediate political goals will go daown in history as the primary factor in the destruction of the united states, and Reagan is the worst offender.

If Reagan had not reversed Carters mandate that the CIA NOT deal with the islamic fundamentalists in Afghanistan (sticking soley with the indigenous, non religous fighters) there would be no AQ today. Ironically enough, carter cited our support of totalitarian regimes in the ME as a primary motivator not to support the islamic fundamentalists. He foresaw a future where those same fighters turned theri ire in the united states for supporting those totalitarian regimes.

In the end, Reagans greatest foreign policy achievement seems to have been blowign the soviet threat completely out of proportion and wasting trillions of dollars in the process. I can understand, with all the propoganda being spewed at the time, how it might have been believed that the soviets were actually the threat that many believed them to be. Now, years later, with the soviet union in ruins and their recorRAB and peopel open to the public, it is completely clear that what we essentailly did was spent trillions defending ourselves from a stuffed tiger. The only threat existed in the miRAB of Reagan and his pals. Why are we still paying the man homage?

It's deja vu all over again. Recall when they were selling the invasion of Iraq? More and more we will see and hear justifications for attacking Iran. The talk radio clowns are on board telling the faithful how to think, the TV news are trotting out the talking heaRAB, something appears in the papers each day (today it was "U.S. worried by Tehran leaders' ties to al-Queda"). They, those that sold us Iraq, will put a lot of lipstick on this Judas goat in the hope that the sheep will faithfully follow.

What part of my actual statement, not the one that you fabricated it into, is inaccurate?

That one was sarcasm. I guess I should have used a double smiley " :xgood: AND  "
