when i first moved to another state i hated it,didn;t like it and a bunch of other things happened just not the way i wanted...long story short,i attempted to end my life about 5 years ago, sent to a physiciatric/mental hospital, never on medications...anyway i want to do military police, will this record affect me on trying to join?or will the army never find out?...and what if i do a job that doesn't require a security clearance that way they dont find out about that record ?could i still sign up or would that record make me medically disqualified or something?...any advice ,info would help,experience... thanks...

Hospitalization for a suicide attempt equals permanent disqualification. No waivers, no exceptions. They won't have to do a background check: they'll take one look at your medical history at MEPS and show you the door.
