Will this help my DRAWING skills to improve or what? ?

Lately, I haven't had much time to practice, so every night before bed I doodle. Mostly little sketchy scribbles with a pen. But when I go to draw a polished, pencil sketch with my art pencils will it be harder for me? Or does this help develope skill as well?

Yeah doodling will help your motor skills and help you develop your eye (sketching what you see). Try some perspective sketches to practice your eye at proportion and size.
 
Doodling is a wonderful way to get better at drawing!
No matter what the doodle is, or how sketchy it looks..As long as you have that pen/pencil moving, you're getting better!
