I wanted to know how long this fitness plan will take to make me lose some extra weight/gain some muscle mass.
I'm a fifteen year old girl, I'm at a healthy weight yet have no muscle almost at all and a lot of extra softness everywhere because I don't do really any strenuous physical activity. I walk to and from places a lot, but I don't do any sports or running or anything.
I signed up at the Y, and was set up on a fitness plan on their weight machines. So it consists of 11 weight training machines focusing on my arms, legs, back and stomach. I'll do these 2 or 3 times a week for about an hour, about 10 reps per machine increasing the weights every week.
I also plan on running (on a treadmill or free-running) 1 mile-3 miles twice or more a week.
I'm not eating anything particularly bad (like doughnuts or greasy food or sugar/soda) and I plan on cutting off any really starchy foods (like bread and pasta).
How long will it take for this to take effect? Assuming I'm normal and don't have a weird metabolism/body thing.
Thanks!!!
