i'm trying to get fit; lose fat in my legs and tone everything up.
so i was on cosmopolitan.com and i saw this article.
"Slim down fast.
Gina Lombardi, celebrity fitness trainer, author of Deadline Fitness and host of Fit Nation on the Discovery Channel's FitTV, recommends this meal plan to her Hollywood clients when they want to shed lbs in little time: Four times a day, have 3-5 ounces of protein (like chicken or fish), along with one cup of raw or steamed colorful vegetables. And drink plenty of water and green tea (it's a natural fat-burner). Start eating this way today, and you'll see visible differences in two weeks."
"Get in sick shape.
This workout is designed to tone you up super-quick. First, do 8-12 reps each of squats, bicep curls (using 5-8 pound weights), lunges, and push-ups (you can do them on your knees). Don't take any breaks in between. Follow up with three minutes of intense cardio, like stair climbing. Repeat the entire sequence. Next, do 8-12 reps each of reverse lunges (stepping backward instead of forward), tricep kickbacks (again, use 5-8 pound weights), jump squats (squat down, then jump up, landing in a squat, knees soft), and crunches (no breaks). Finish up with three more minutes of cardio, and repeat the whole sequence.
It's incredibly effective because you're strategically ordering the exercises to shift back and forth between lower and upper muscle groups (targeting your legs, then arms, then back to legs...). "Switching it up causes your body to shunt blood up and down continuously, which has a tremendous cardiovascular effect," Lombardi explains. Beginning today, do it three times a week. You'll have great results within a month."
