Will this affect what I get from financial aid?

Last year my mother filed me under her taxes although I paid everything myself. Will this affect what I get from financial aid? I dont remember them asking me that but Im freaking out because I think I missed something.

I should be an independent Im 20 with 2 kids living with my fiance and the said my EFC is 0.
 
If she filed you as a dependent, they will look at her income instead of yours.
 
yes if she filled you as a dependent it will affect your financial aid. however once you are living on your own for six months and establish a germinate residence of your own they will just look at your income
 
Even though you're independent,they base this year's aid on your income last year, and they may still ask to see you're parents W-2 forms to establish whether or not you're family has the ability to help (I know, it doesn't make any sense but you're even if you're independent, you're parents income can affect your EFC). If they do that, then they'll see that she filed you and it will affect your aid. But, then again, since you have kids, they may not ask.
