Will these subs hit harder?

I currently have 2 alpine type x 10in subs with 2 pdx1.1000 and they hit pretty hard!!! But I was thinking about upgrading my subs to 2 alpine type x 12in subs will the 12s hit alot harder???? even though the subs both have 1000rms and 3000 watts peak????
