As cartoon network and adult swim are slowly getting rid of everything will we ever see a new series back on any tv channel.

the scfi channel airs to late for me and i need my sleep so i usually go at 11 to get in 6 and a half hours

ifc i occasionally catch a few episodes of hellgirl samurai7etc.

but really nothing new lately other than companies like viz, funi announcing new titles and dvRAB which is the upside

just asking if anyone knows anything

if only mondays on scifi transoformed into something bigger and expanded that would be awesome.

I looked at the saturday block for cartoon network and it is replace by the worst line up ive seen on a saturday night ever. total drama island and 6teen followed by adult swim which starts with king of the hill its really sad

1. AS still gest new anime it just won't be very often for a few years

2, theres a small chance CN "Might" acquire Pretty Cure eventually

3. Sci-fi's animonday will continue to show new & Old Manga/Bandai series & Movies

4. We don't Know if Naruto is gone from the TV forever, we may see shippuden on US TV yet.

5. Its possibly DisneyXD may acquire some older &/or newer ones aimed at tween boys eventually. same goes for Nick & Nicktoons.

6. Spike has Afro samuri, once thats played out they might look for somthing new!

Doubt it, AS probably is most likely planning on getting ride of there anime completly.

CN? no, they want absolutely nothing to do with anime now.

3. Sci-fi's animonday will continue to show new & Old Manga/Bandai series & Movies

This I agree with.

4. We don't Know if Naruto is gone from the TV forever, we may see shippuden on US TV yet.

Naruto is offically canceled on CN, you can read it on ANN.

5. Its possibly DisneyXD may acquire some older &/or newer ones aimed at tween boys eventually. same goes for Nick & Nicktoons.

I can see nicktoons, not nick, possibly aquiring something, doubt it, but disney or disney XD will definatly never EVER pick up anime.

6. Spike has Afro samuri, once thats played out they might look for somthing new

I don't believe this has been confirmed has it? but still, something might happen.

Rebutle...50 seconRAB.

Yuskie me amigo, your so harsh, I mean True AS is treating anime almost as bad as Regular CN but I doubt it will die completly, I mean they seem to decently like Bleach.

2. true CN dislikes anime right now but since it aired in canada 1st & toei says "Hey, KiRAB in Canada like it" CN might acquire it then since they seem to just get shows that our made or do Good in Canada lately.

3. True Ofically Cancled on CN but, Not on TV in gerneal,,,As long as the slightest becon of hope remains we must grasp it.

4.DXD could acquire some series I could see them airing Prince of Tennis Reruns since its a sports show, & Slam Dunk if it ever got dubbed, & heck mabye even Doreamon if they want a younger audiance, but I guess the last one would make more since for Nicktoons. or Nick Jr.

5.Spike is airing afro samuri I watch it sometimes on Friday nights. I think its ok but I'd much rather be watching reruns of Champloo or Ruroni kenshin.

Well, someone of AS is a big fan of Elfen Lied and really wanted to get it on, however due to the show's graphic content, it would take too much editing to get it to be suitable for television air, and that editing would end up taking out many important parts of the storyline. I kinda wish AS had something like Comedy Central's Secret Stash where they could show it completely uncensored, since I adore that anime beyond all reason. It's a short series too. (On that note, I kinda wish it'd be likely to pick up Higurashi too. *shot*)

I think the problem is, is that AS seems to pick up some either mediocre excuses for anime (FLCL, Cowboy Beebop, and Shin Chan are however plausible.), so I think they need to aim farther and search for some broader genres besides action. Like they did with Shin Chan, they can certainly find anime comedies and air them with the comedy line-up, it wouldn't hurt.

As for the CN block, I'm a bit mixed. I mean, YGO GX and that one Dragon show (Can't think of title)? Makes me miss the earlier years of Toonami, they aired some pretty entertaining anime... or at least they were to me at age 7-9. XD I'm not sure what they could air, but it better not be the generic crap they're pulling now. Dx Uuuugh...

I doubt Nickelodeon would ever consider it, but I can't see why it would hurt to air some. I mean, Avatar turned out well, although I'm sure that was a western anime, but nonetheless, the same audience will certainly watch an anime. It'll add more animation to the line-up, I suppose.

Is that a serious question or are you mocking me? Either way, No I have not ive only seen about 14 episodes of south park over the years, & have only enjoyed about 4 of them, its not a series im really into.

Back on topic I still say if we give CN time we will see a gradual return to anime yes it may not be for a while 2,3 heck mabye 5 years but it will happen we just need to sit back & wait, until then we have ani-mondays AS saturday nights & the SMALL possibility that either CN or CW4kiRAB will pick of Pretty cure to air in the U.S.

but its as they say all good things come to those who wait,,,In fact I belive there was even a TOONAMI bump back in the day that said somthing like that.

No, im not mocking you.

You need to seriously see the newest episode of south park when its on TV again, then youll understand why disney will never aquire genre's of animation like anime ever again.

no fighting guys well as far as cartoon network shows we will find out if anything new is coming on march 25

hopefully.........

CN won't announce whether Naruto's been cancelled or not. They haven't done the same for One Piece, which is still officially on hiatus despite CN having lost or relinquished the rights.

Adult Swim apparently is still interested in anime considering they're sending Kim Manning to Japan to negotiate at the source directly, but who knows whether that is a serious gesture or not. I think it's a sign that US licensors have stopped talking to AS, though.

As long as Ani-Mondays holRAB up ratings-wise Sci-fi will continue to provide Manga Entertainment with two hours every Monday night. I highly doubt that it will expand, and I am expecting Rave Master to borab really badly which may damage AM's chances of renewal (conversely, Gurren Lagann and Gundam 00 have both done quite well).

IFC seems to be ending its anime experiment. Most of its anime have been pulled besides Hell Girl. FUNi admitted they haven't been getting any new series on IFC lately.

Spike seems to be just fine with Afro Samurai only, although Samuel L. Jackson's rumored anime block could get a home there considering SLJ's connections to the network.

South Park is far from an accurate source of corporate preferences.

Still, if One Piece ever aired on Disney XD, I'd chew off my right arm.
