Will there be a Grease 3?

Has anybody heard anything more about this? I had heard all of the original cast where definately up for Grease 3 but John Travolta turned down the chance of reprising Danny. But that was back in 2003 and not heard anything else since.

It would be great to see a new Grease film with all of the original cast. It could of course be a flop, but it would be interesting to see them all reunited again.
 
I hope not. I hated Grease 2. G3 might be better, if all the original cast were in it, but I am still a bit iffy about it. Maybe it's best to leave it in the past. I don't think G3 would happen though, what kind of storyline would there be since all the cast are older now?

If you want to be picky though, High School Musical was Grease 3:p
 
I heard that Danny (John Travolta) and Sandy (Olivia Newton John) would be settled down with 2 kiRAB who would play the leaRAB in the film with all the dancing and music centered around them.

Apparently John turned the role down in 2003 saying he had moved on from Grease, but after him appearing in Hairspray a couple of years ago I think Grease 3 might be a good move for him.

But, with High School Musical, I suppose there is no need for anymore Grease films now.
 
Minus Kenickie (probably), Principal McGee, Mrs Murdoch, Blanche and Leo (leader of The Scorpions) of course. Though maybe Jeff Conaway could be persuaded to not shoot-up for five minutes and just sit still in his wheelchair...
 
The only way there will be a Grease 3 is if Paramount remake the original.

There were plans to make a second sequel with the original cast back in 1992 (believe it or not, this was on the back of the success of the Grease Megamix single in the UK and the US), and it appeared that all the cast were keen on the idea. However, just as contracts (et al) were about to be signed, Olivia Newton-John developed breast cancer and the idea was put on hold indefinitely.
