Okay, so i want to do something combat like with the army, maybe even rangers or something like that if i get in good enough shape. But the only problem is, i have a messed up back. I broke it a couple of years ago and now it still hurts sometimes because a vertebra or disk thing in my lower back is out of place a little bit. Will this keep me out of the army?

Sorry but your chances are zero to none. The history will get you alone but if that doesn't the fact you are not asymptomatic will. There are just too many people trying to get in right now so I doubt you will make it past the recruiters office on this one.

e. Current or history of fractures or dislocation of the vertebrae (805) is disqualifying. A compression fracture, involving less than 25 percent of a single vertebra is not disqualifying if the injury occurred more than 1 year before examination and the applicant is asymptomatic. A history of fractures of the transverse or spinous processes is not disqualifying if the applicant is asymptomatic.
