My dad left a pan in the oven and I preheated it without looking in it because I never leave things in the oven because I think that's a really dumb idea. I was taking the pan out of the oven with a pot holder, but a little bit of the end of the handle was sticking out and burnt my palm. It's first degree and I've managed to make the pain go away after about six hours, but I was wondering if the lines (the little ridges that are stamped on paper when you stamp your fingerprint) would ever return? They were burnt clean off.
