Will the iPhone really be comming to verizon?

Will the iPhone really be comming to Verizon in the third quarter of the year?

I did go to the Verizon store, they said it was true, they will be getting it sometime this year.


Do you think they're correct?


If so, I know everything on the internet is still rumors, but will it be the iPhone 3g or the new generation?

First of all, yes, the iphone is coming to verizon.
Second of all, it will probably -- actually DEFINITELY be the new generation. It might even use the 4G LTE network (slim chance), but if its really a 4G-capable phone, then its possible. Some people say there may be a verizon-specific iPhone, but i don't think that is the case. The only difference from the at&t version and the verizon version will be that the at&t version will run on GSM networks (at&t and you can even run it on t-mobile if its unlocked) and the verizon version will run on CDMA networks (verizon and maybe sprint if its unlocked).

It would definitely be the new one; it makes no sense to launch a year old phone on a new carrier ^^

It seems very likely that it's coming to Verizon, but it's not set in stone yet =x I even remember hearing that Apple and AT&T were going to be exclusive partners until 2012, so the only thing to do is wait =x
