will the iphone 3gs work on tmobile?

hey guys I am getting me a iphone 3gs but I am not 100% if it is going to work on tmobile?

So if I get it can I unlock it to tmobile and what plan and stuff with I Need to get...
 
It can work on T-Mobile but only if you "Unlock" it. Unlocking and jailbreaking the phones can be tricky, so it's best to find someone who's done it, or buy it already unlocked.

If I was going with T-mobile, I'd get one of those google android powered phones!
 
If you unlock it then I'm pretty sure it will work, but you might not be able to get the 3G data speeds because I think AT&T and T-Mobile run on different 3G bands so the iPhone might not have the right chip to access T-Mobile's 3G bands. I think the calling and everything else should work though, and the data should work, it will just be slower.
