...Conservatives? Will the current Health Care Insurance reform debates forever be linked with how the Right was manipulated by Big Insurance without them knowing it?

Looking back at these events will Conservatives continue to follow the corporate strategy or will they actually fight against being manipulated by them?
 
Most people are covered by their employer. They won't be anymore when your wonderful health care bill is passed. I call that being manipulated by the government. Democrats are very manipulative and what surprises me is how many people seem to love to be manipulated without ever thinking what the real results of their plans will be.
 
The story has always been (hence will continue to be) the big prize that the Dems have never been able to sell to America.

No. It will be remembered as Obama's first of many failures to get something passed even though the Dems. control the White House and Senate.
 
Your questions are so biased. Do you realized how biased they are? You have to have some idea that they are. I mean you can't be this blind to how you portray yourself right?
 
Let's say you're right. And what is wrong with what you are suggesting? IF we were in fact duped by *evil* big insurance, why is that necessarily a bad thing?
How is something I am happy with and that has served my entire family VERY well being taken away from me a "good" thing?

What's more, did insurance companies write HR 3200? Because that is what I was protesting after having read the language the bill uses.
 
You are lucky that you can see a positive for the people when the government mandates that everyone purchase insurance from health insurance companies. Personally it seems to be a form of corporate welfare and a way that big business and government collude to screw over the people to me. But hey, I guess I'm looking at it pessimistically.
 
why doesn't government just regulate the insurance companies like it does the banks?.........oh yea that's right that failed also

Yes, we will look on insurance companies of the past as corrupt, just as we now look negatively at companies that did not allow unions and positively use the word "Trust-Buster" (where in the past it was meant as an insult.) People have always been fooled by the propaganda machines to fight against their own interests, adopting instead false hope and weakness.

The republicans will soon realize they have been wronged by insurance companies (when the rumors of Obama being Muslim also fail to fly,) and the parties will take most likely a leftward shift as a whole.

Of course there will be those who continue to disagree, and continue to fight against public health care in the interest of a world where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. We will call these people Libertarians.
 
The Conservatives won't be manipulated by the Liberal BS that they spout everyday about what handouts they need for those who live off the government! That's just a bigger fly in your ointment and you can't stand it knowing they can't be manipulated by Liberals!!
 
I think it will be how Pharmaceuticals and lawyers manipulated the Liberals. kind of naive to think the Insurance Company's' are the only bad guys.
 
Since when did they have to manipulate conservatives on this issue since voting down a public options was the right thing to do.
Btw 5 dems voted it down too.
If they were somehow manipulated , to do the right thing, then so be it.
 
Yes it will be remembered that way and how Insurance Companies got them to protest over something that benefited them, It would not be the first time. The Republicans have gotten their base to vote against it own welfare for years. It isnt hard as they are easily manipulated. Just look at how Fox News does it.
