I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that came with a feature called "curbside view" that is controllable through the DTC. It can be turned to Driver, Passenger, or Both depending on the setting you set in the DTC by going into the vehicle settings menu.
Recently my passenger side mirror broke and I had to replace it with an aftermarket mirror. Now the new aftermarket mirror only slightly moves down, or doesn't move at all, when going into curbside view, like it's trying to do it but doesn't understand what to do. I was wondering if this feature was compatible with aftermarket mirrors and I just need to reprogram it, or if I have to bite the bullet and visit the dealer? If I need to reprogram it, any instructions would be very helpful, the user's manual of the truck was useless.
