will the boot camp on macbook make my laptop vulnerable?

will having a boot camp to run my Zune software make my macbook vulnerable to PC viruses and other..bad things? will it do anything unwanted to my laptop? i don't understand how the boot camp works. all i want is to use my amazing Zune again! but i don't want to run a program that could make my macbook vulnerable to attacks like PC's always are
